Once again, It’s Monday, the most painful day of the week for the average person. Just because it’s the beginning of the work week doesn’t mean we can’t get start our week off with a BANG! It’s time to get the day started, and there’s no better way to start the day than with a great selection of music. Let’s get this playlist bumping…

10. Spaceship- Kanye West ft. GLC & Consequence

The College Dropout was Kanye’s first studio album and of course, it featured the track Spaceship. Spaceship is pretty much self explanatory and is exactly what you need to hear before starting the work week. Kanye will probably put you in a bad mood for work with this track (especially if you work in retail), BUT he will get you motivated to do better, get the job you’ve always wanted, perfect your craft and get your money up.

9. God Level – Travis $cott

God Level was finally released on Travis Scott’s “After the Rodeo” mixtape. God Level explains what it’s like when you get to the top, which is where we all wanna be. What’s above God? Just get motivated on this Monday, make that cash and get to the top of the charts.

8. Off the Rip – French Montana ft. Chinx

Off The Rip is a single featuring Chinx (Rest in Peace) and N.O.R.E, that just gives off those chill vibes. It’s definitely one of those songs you would find yourself singing when you’re in a good mood, so why not start the week off right.

bryson

7. Sorry Not Sorry – Bryson Tiller

The title is pretty much self explanatory. With all of the Trap Soul buzz of Bryson’s singing, I’ve decided to add one of his tracks that he’s rapping on. Start your week off by unapologetically letting go of the toxic unnecessary people in your life. Sorry, not sorry.

drake

6. Trophies – Drake

This week, WE WILL WIN. With Drake’s single Trophies, he reminds us that you can brag when you’ve earned your bragging rights. Do what you do, for yourself. Succeed in something, do your best, and put your best foot forward. Who knows, maybe you will actually get a trophy. (Wasn’t Drake adorable? lol)

5. Same Ol’ Mistakes – Rihanna

Half way through the playlist, we had to slow it down with some Rihanna. Anti was of course a great album, but when I heard this track I immediately imagined myself starting my day in the greatest mood with this soothing track. Start off fresh, and instead of making the same ‘ol mistakes that you usually would, do something different this week, make a change, make new decisions, be spontaneous.

4. Enemies – Lil Uzi Vert

Enemies is off of Lil Uzi’s “Luv is Rage” mixtape. Sometimes you have to start your day with an ego boost. Get in your zone, trap to the gods, and always keep in mind that no man against you will prosper. Head into your Monday by remembering the saying “Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.”

3. Menace II Society – Freddie Gibbs ft. Dom Kennedy & Polyester

Menace II Society is the PERFECT track to wake up to. With the mellow vibes and Cali beat, you can start your day off in a great mood. I have always pictured myself driving down a palm tree lined street with the top down and the sun on my face, blasting this track. Ride out.

biggie

2. Warning – Biggie Smalls

Warning, off of Notorious B.I.G’s “Ready To Die” album, is hands down one of my all time favorite Biggie tracks. It’s perfect for a Monday morning because it reminds you to stay prepared for what’s left to come. Sometimes you know what to expect, and other times, you don’t.

Lil-Uzi-Vert

1. P’s & Q’s – Lil Uzi Vert

Of course we all know how much I love Lil Uzi Vert. He released a new mixtape called “Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World” on April 15th. Stay on your P’s and Q’s this week, and go out there and get what you want, even if you have to take it, just as Uzi is rapping about how he stole his girlfriend from her ex boyfriend. Sorry Austin, It be like that.

Have a Great Monday guys!
